I have great experience with the Toyota/Lexus hybrid systems!  I have rebuilt these battery packs utilizing good used cells with great success. 

 

I first disconnect the bus bar to isolate the individual cells and then test them for voltage potential and amperage capacity.  After replacing the bad and weak cells, I do a total balancing of the whole pack before installation.

Pricing varies depending on the number of defective cells as well current cost of used cells.  Typical prices average half of a pre-assembled unit  The trade-off is time... this process can take about a week or more to complete and I still extend my 12 month/12,000 mile warranty!

However, I know time can be at a premium which is why I also offer a complete battery assembly starting at $1850.00 and carrying a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty!
