Timing belts, automatic transmission fluid, drive belts, antifreeze, oil changes, oh my... pictures are worth a thousand words! Neglect is the leading reason for vehicles breaking down. All of the fluids, hoses, and belts are designed to be serviced at a factory-determined interval to maintain the best functionality throughout the life of the vehicle.
Everything these days is built to go nearly 100,000 miles without much attention... under ideal conditions. One thing I've learned about Texas, it yields far from ideal conditions for a car!
